Schlumbergera truncata aka Thanksgiving Cactus

Thanksgiving cactus are one of the types of cactus that has no spikes or spines, they have elongated leaves with ridges on the edges and bloom typical around the holidays and in a rainbow of colors. This variety has a very pretty and large blooms that are hot pink in color. We generally give them shade to morning sun (full sun will sun stress the leaves) and water when dry. When in bloom we keep the soil semi moist to prevent bud loss and maximize bloom time. We fertilize monthly with an all purpose fertilizer or cactus fertilizer. These plants are rooted in a 3” pot.

White spotting on leaves is residual from sprays used to control insects, mites and fungus.
