Nepenthes Alata aka Carivorous Pitcher Plant in a Hanging Basket

The Nepenthes Alata aka pitcher plants have elongated hour glass shaped pitchers with colors from green to burgundy.  The pitchers form with closed lids until they are ready to eat, then the top opens emitting a pheromone while making the liquid inside able to be consumed by insects. Pitcher plants thrive in a humid warm brightly lit environment keeping its soil somewhat moist. 

These plants are grown in a 4” hanging basket.

All plants are grown outside therefore leaves may show some environmental imperfections. Dark spots on leaves is remnants of substrate.
