Caesalpinia Pulcherrima aka Dwarf Poinciana Seeds
The Caesalpinia Pulcherrima, commonly known as dwarf poinciana, pride of barbados and fire tree, it is a stunning tropical shrub (small tree) admired for its fiery blossoms in shades of red, orange, and yellow. Native to the Americas and widely cultivated in warm climates, it thrives in sunny locations and is remarkably drought-tolerant. Its delicate, fern-like foliage complements the striking flowers, which attract pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds. Frequently used as an ornamental plant, it adds a burst of color to gardens and landscapes. Beyond its beauty, it has traditional medicinal uses and is known for its resilience, making it a favorite among gardeners.Â
The tree is easy to care for, prefers full sun. Plant is well draining soil and thoroughly water when soil is mostly dry. Bumping pot sizes will encourage growth. Can be trimmed and kept as a bonsai. Ours is planted in Florida zone 10a, in the ground in full sun and it blooms most of the year.Â
