Zebra Plant aka Aphelandra Squamosa

Zebra plant has deep green that have deep creamy white veining. The flowers emerge several time a year in a columnar fashion and are bright canary yellow. Zebra plants like a regular potting soil mix and don’t let them dry out too much. We water these twice a week in a shady greenhouse setting. Zebra plants are dramatic if underwatered but with a good soak will spring right back up! We fertilize monthly with a well balanced slow release fertilizer.

These plants are rooted in a 4” pot.

White spotting on leaves is residual from sprays used to control insects, mites and fungus.
